if you are commuter fgcu student, you understand the struggles of driving around and parking in the parking garages. they are usually full of students who drive like wild animals at wild animal-like speeds. it can be really dangerous. well today i was being a courteous person and backing up slowly while checking my surroundings to make sure that there were no cars behind me when a car (who i'm sure freakin' saw me) decided that he was going to back up at the same time as me at FULL SPEED and barely missing my car. thanks you for almost killing me and my car, you buttface. just a reminder: please be safe when driving on the roads and especially in the parking garages for your safety and the safety of the people around you. that is all. 

hiiii     so this past weekend i went to orlando! it was my mom's birthday weekend and we decided to take a trip to see my aunt. we had a really nice time. on friday, we went to the most amazing buffet ever. it was a chinese/latino buffet. this buffet served fried rice, sushi, fried pork, rice, and beans. it was heaven on earth. it is called el palacio buffet and if your ever in orlando, i definitely recommend that you look it up!     on saturday, we went to wekiwa springs state park, it was so beautiful! the weather was chilly in the morning, but we decided to go kayaking and canoeing anyway. after a couple hours, we went and sat at the swimming end of the spring. the weather warmed up which was awesome. i just sat and watched everybody swim, it was so relaxing. we went to a nearby burger place after we left the park. i had one of the best burgers ever. it had mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and bacon on the burger. i wish i had one in front of me right n...

after being glued to the schedule search for the past few weeks... i successfully registered for the class that i wanted to take in the summer!!! yaaaaaaaassssssss.                                                                                                    

RAWWWRRRR this past weekend i went and visited my dad in Tampa (my parents are divorced). i really needed a getaway because this semester my school and work schedule is hectic. we walked around Ybor City on Saturday night. we went to a Farmer's market on Sunday and it was really fun because we got to drink some delicious and healthy smoothies and milkshakes. also, there was lots of vendors selling handmade products that are fun to look at because they are so unique. my favorite thing there was a dinosaur with a succulent coming out of its' back. (ever since i saw the movie Jurrasic World, i have been obsessed with dinosaurs and this toy looked like one of the dinosaurs in the movie!) later on Sunday afternoon my dad made us some chicken wings on the grill (which were amazing) and after a short nap we ventured back to the homeland (fort myers). it was an eventful weekend and much needed break from reality! P.S i got to eat some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. be jealous. 😜 P.S.S...

hiiiiii!  i am Desirae. i am 22 years old. i was born and raised in the very lame Fort Myers, Florida.  i am a soon to be FGCU alumni. (SUPER EXC ITED ABOUT THAT) I will be graduating with a bachelors degree in Marketing in the Fall. i am terrified of what the future has to hold and I don't have any idea what I want to do after I graduate, this blog (which was required by a marketing class) is my very first blog and will follow my life experiences throughout the next couple weeks. wish me luck!
